The Steam client will automatically update your game to the latest version, provided it has not been configured to prevent this. X3: Albion Prelude 2.5.2 and X3: Terran Conflict 3.2c are from now on available for download over Steam. X3: Albion Prelude is a video game developed by Egosoft, published by Egosoft. As well as updating the Chinese localisations for both games, we're adding voice support for Russian to X3AP and preparing for the new Japanese release. Just a small update for X3TC and X3AP today.

Owners of X3: Terran Conflict aren't left out either as they will be available at an add-on price of just USD 9.99. I actually have Terran Conflict but it's pretty huge so I figured I'd ask here before installing. There is also a free Download for Owners of the X: Superbox and if you buy the X: Superbox, or already own it, X3: Albion Prelude will be available as a free download via Steam. In summary: stick with Terran Conflict if you want more story, and Albion Prelude if you instead want a little more content along with a generally higher difficulty. X3: Albion Prelude will be released on December 15th on Steam for direct download in English, German, and French languages (voice) and Italian (text only). X3: Albion Prelude includes a host of new features including a new plot that throws you into this power struggle between corporations, more than 30 new ships and stations, new Stock Exchange feature and advanced investment strategies, improved graphics quality setting for high-end machines, improved UI introducing charts to visualize economic developments, and support for head tracking. They are being built as you participate in the power struggles that feed their construction. However, these highways – which are a key feature of X Rebirth – are not fully ready.
